ABOUT US
The idea to create Betty’s House started around 2018 and was completed in 2021, however the history of the building began much earlier. Built around the end of 1890, this space was originally the family home of Betty’s mother, where Betty also spent her childhood with her two siblings. Respecting the original architecture of the house and the traditional elements of the village of Karterados, we completed renovated this classic Cycladic house with modern touches and comforts, turning it into an oasis of peaceful relaxation.
Our goal at Betty’s House is for our guests to live a unique experience in a warm and welcoming environment, gaining unique memories from their stay in our space. We hope to see you soon.
BETTY’S HOUSE
Located in one of the quietest and tucked-away parts of Santorini, Betty’s House is a great choice for those looking for a peaceful and comfortable vacation, as it perfectly combines the tranquility of a traditional neighborhood with an easy access to main roads. Additionally, our visitors will have the opportunity to wander the picturesque alleys of Karterados, but also to discover the nearby villages, such as Fira and Kontochori.
LOCATION
The accommodation is located in the heart of the area “Finikia” of Karterados, which took its name from the huge palm tree that dominates there for over 60 years. Finikia is a very traditional settlement characterized by its quiet, picturesque, narrow alleys and the imposing orthodox Church of the Ascension. In one of these alleys, next to the Church of the Ascension, one finds Betty’s Home, which is only accessible by foot, by motorbike and four-wheeled motorbike since the narrow alleys do not allow the passage of a car. However, just outside the centre Finikia, 2 minutes away from Betty’s Home, there are roads accessible by car and available parking, while there is a second road, which leads to Fira, Karterados’ centre and the bus station .
